A lens for a "vintage" effect and dark places. Also for basic macro.
2 of 2 found this helpful A lens of one effect and its "vintage". Fully manual control (focus and aperture), some people even use it for a vintage looking videos. On modern cameras usually makes blurred frame edges (because of a bigger matrix). Also blurred background (bokeh effect) looks nice because of a 12-"petals" aperture. The more "petals", the more round the blurred lights (most camera-control lenses have 6-7 "petals"). Good for dark places (1.6 is a rather good aperture, I also have 50mm 1.4 lens also good but for quite different money). It also has macro rings, can make rather nice macro. Again - image center sharp, edges are blurred (of vice versa). ON MIRROR CAMERA WORKS ONLY AS MACRO! My pics are macro, cafe images are of my friend's, who uses this lens as an everyday one mostly because of big aperture (good for dark places) and blurred background.
In other words. If you like "vintage" effect, stylishly blurred background and often take pics in darker places, you can give it a try.

For AA its good, but AAA batteries don't fit into supposed places.
I have similar boxes where I store AA and AAA batteries so decided to buy some more. But these ones are smaller (about 5mm smaller) so you can't place 5 AAA there as it was supposed. Not that its so important but placing AAA on place of AA makes them rattle more. Here is the picture - my old bigger box (left) and this one (right). Placing batteries like this and I can't even close the box.
On the other hand, my old boxes don't have useful "hookes" on sides, these ones you can connect into one. So 4 stars in general.
