Fantastic! Even better than I hoped for!!

I recently discovered the magic of Gretsch pickups in my SG and was looking for a guitar with a tremolo. I was considering putting a Bigsby on my SG and found a good deal on one of these 5655's instead. Wow!!! Needed setup and that's it. This thing hangs with my SG, it is B.A.!!!! Great for ZZ Top, Sabbath, clean jazzy stuff, Metallica......no really. The pickup combination is VERY well thought out and works great. I did tweak out the height on them a bit. Buy one, you will not be disappointed!!!

Great bright and fat boost - almost a fuzz

Adds a presence to your tone when guitar volume is rolled back. Can do light fuzz when the gain is cranked. Overall a very different flavor when used as a boost, compared to the dozens of other ODs and boosts I own. Loves Teles!!

Don't believe the tone snobs!

This amp will do a pretty good classic Marshall tone.....will it sound EXACTLY like a JCM800 or a Plexi?...no. But it definitely gets in the neighborhood and it definitely sounds like a Marshall. If you want heavy rock to metal sounds, this amp is awesome! A NOS GE 12ax7 in the two gain stages makes the eq and gain more useable and the controls more effective. The flexibility this amp offers is great and the price on these used can't be beat.
