A must read. Especially Black History buffs.
1 of 1 found this helpful This page turner includes History not taught in public schools. It is a story of perserverance and value of human rights and the fight of blacks in the Old south to obtain and keep them. Should be a high priority on Oprah's book list.

Will there be a sequel to this series of events with surprising ending?
Enjoyed unfolding soties. Somewhat difficult to discern different characters at first. An unexpected evolving story at end. Needs a sequel?

Loved the characters and the story. Adored reading about his "Ole Country".(I feel like I've been there.)Understanding the reason for the speech style,I sometimes found it difficult to follow.
