Dead On Arrival "Deadrise"
Poorly conceived, poorly written and demonstrating only the most superficial knowledge of Smith Island and the Chesapeake, workboats, hard and soft crabbing, patent or hand-tonging for oysters, etc. A lot may be forgiven for any first novel but not ignorance of setting and a puerile plot unfit for even casual readers.
