Good book for an architecture student
As an architecture student, I found this book very interesting and helpful. As a student that works during the day and attends class at night, I do not get the normal time in the studio enviroment that most arch students get. This helped me learn different techniques, and introduced me to ones I have never seen. Gave me good ideas for my models. Even the other architect at my work who attended a traditional college saw a few modelmaking techniques that she had not seen before.
Good book to give you ideas, and inspire you to create your own models in different ways that you may have not seen in your own school.
Could be good for a firm as well.

Very Basic Book Geared Towards Mechanical Designers
Book is a very basic introduction to model making techniques. It is an overview of different ways that one could use to make a model, but does not describe any of the techniques in depth. I am an architecture student and only found one thing that ould help me in this book. Could be helpful for a mechanical/design engineer as a very basic introduction to model making ideas, but does not go into enough depth to make this book worth the money. I DO NOT suggest this book for architects, as it covers things like making mechanical models (such as cars) out of foams and plastics and prototyping things like those that would come off of an assembly line.
But even though it does cover these topics, I still would not recommend it for engineers because it is soooo basic. It gives a topic, the maybe a one paragraph description of it. College level students would find this too basic. I payed way too much over suggested retail and regret it.
