a military strugle we in the USA were not exposed to, we had Viet Nam
the Afirca@War series is a must read for military history enthusiasts, a much maligned but very important part of the development of the southern hemisphere and sub Saharan life. I wish the rest of the series was easier to attain in the US.

Heartfelt account of maturity, class, ethics, manners, respect and more
I have always thought these 2 Ruark books where possibly his most personable. I read both years ago and was delighted to get both again as I read in paperback. All young men should read The Old Man and The Boy and then give it a few months to sink in and then read The Old Mans Boy grows Older! If you need to ask why, unfortunatly you have'nt read them. Please do yourself a favor!!
