Historic view of anti-antisemitism

Great period piece illustrating the anti-semitism that still ran rampant in America after World War II. A bit overdone and heavy-handed in parts ... but still compelling. The actor who played Gregory Peck's pal (John Garfield) was later blacklisted as a communist, effectively ending his career and perhaps contibuting to his early death. Nice piece of historic filmmaking and also a good piece to encourage budding journalists to follow the craft.
