Bonding in war...companions for life
A terrific story of a lucky encounter in a WWI French village destroyed by the ravages of war, where the only survivors of a bombed kennel was a starving mother and her puppies. The savior, Lee Duncan who had a difficult time in childhood...a feeling of abandonment....now how the opportunity to give stability and love to a puppy he named Rin Tin Tin. The movies, the stardom and the difficult times of the Great Depression serve as background to two buddies that shared a unique connection. The old saying...."The problem with loving is that pets don't live long enough"....is evident in the story.
