Nice CD but leaves a lot to be desired
I was disappointed with this CD piano jazz offerings has to be David Newton . Without being rude this CD is ordinary whilst with other jazz offerings such as Dave Newton one always wants to go back for more and this CD with the best will in the world does not in this case achieve that. Sorry Robert but one has to tell it as it is!!

Jazz to go with a good real ale!!
I knew this would be a good CD however what more can one say about a CD other than its round has a hole in the middle and a label. I like modern jazz and I like Bill Evans so if you like Bill Evans type of jazz and given he is, to use a too often parlance, a jazz legend then a jazz lover that likes this particular genre would home in on this CD. To me any modern jazz music of this genre is good value even hard to obtain artists . If you like main stream modern jazz Bill Evans then this is for you however if you like ultra modern 'mainstream' jazz pianists then this may be a bit tame may I suggest you take Bill's music with a nice glass (or two) of a good red wine or a decent bottle of real ale sit back and be transported to a modern jazzy world for an hour or so you will not go wrong !!
