Baseball and forgiveness, what is not to like about this book?

For fans of John Grisham, baseball and just a well written book, this is a 5 star winner. I particularly loved the depiction of America in those times not rife with the problems of today. It took me back to a childhood in which America was still a country in which one could believe in. It also hit on all cylinders as a story of forgiveness, no matter the manner or time frame in which it is given. Thank you John for a really great, feel good book.

Excellent addition to any recovering alcoholics library of knowledge

These discs are not only a great value money wise but vastly improve understanding of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Joe and Charlie lay it out in terms a new-comer or an old-timer can appreciate and grasp. I wish I could have been there at Boca Raton when this was presented in 2001 and unfortunately they have both passed on to the 13th step, dying sober, but their wisdom lives on through this seminar. Not only do Joe and Charlie cover the big book in an outstanding way but we have Willie B from Spring, Texas who presents the 12 steps geared towards a female audience but certainly in a way that men can appreciate as well. All three of them show that being sober can be fun and provide a lot of humor along the way as they cover their material. I am a huge fan of these discs and recommend anyone who is in sobriety acquire them simply as an addition to their arsenal against that next drink. They make great listening as you are driving on the highway or stuck in traffic jams or do as one of my groups do, have a Joe and Charlie Friday noon meeting. It is a very popular format here in Topeka and many recovering people attend that meeting simply because of the content. Get these discs, you won't be sorry.
