A professional-grade switch
The switch worked out-of-the-box, and has been in use constantly ever since. We switch constantly between Windows 10 Professional and Debian 8, and have no problems. The switch also allows individual monitors to be switched, which can be quite useful. It keeps its state indefinitely, including when ether of the computers is shut down and re-booted (either immediately, or hours later).

A little too blue - maybe 4500 K or 5000 K bulb would have been better.

A substitute for CFML27VLX, but with a color temperature of 2700 K.
If you use this bulb to substitute for a VerLux natural spectrum light, you will have to cut off 2 small plastic tabs on the edge of the base. A couple of minutes with a hacksaw is all that is required. It then worked perfectly.
