Incredible work.
This is a beautiful book! It is expensive for being a paper covered book, but the paintings are amazing! I hope to become a better painter simply by studying how Richard does it!

Glad I chose this camera
4 of 4 found this helpful I researched digital cameras for about 3 months before choosing the A620, which is actually last year's model. I had a Powershot S400 already, and I wanted to get a few more megapixels. 7 is plenty. More just takes up space on the memory card.
Features that sold me on this camera: 2.6" screen and nice optical viewfinder, too. I'd considered the SD630 (?) with the 3" screen, but I sometimes prefer an optical viewfinder and knew I would miss it.
Also, I've never owned a camera with a twistable viewer, but many reviewers seemed to like that feature so I thought I'd give it a try this time around. I love it! Already there have been several shots that I couldn't have taken without it.
The photo quality is excellent, but that is rrue for Canon cameras in general, I think. I also own a Nikon D70 (that's a fancy digital SLR that should take GREAT photos but doesn't), but the Canon photos are far superior right out of the box. I need to Photoshop all of the Nikon pics!
FOur things I don't like about the A620: The dial on top always gets turned when I take the camera out of the case, so I might take several pictures in the wrong mode before realizing that the dial has turned. Not a big deal, but an irritation. The on/off switch is easy to accidentally hit when putting the camera away. Finally, red eye is definitely a problem with the Canon. Fortunately, I'm getting pretty good at fixing it with Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Finally, the cheapo plastic cover over the place where you insert the cord for downloading is flimsy, and it is difficult to close because it catches on the place where the wrist strap is attached.
None of these negatives are enough to make me regret my decision, though. There's no "perfect" camera out there, but this one comes pretty close to exactly what I want. Don't pay more than $225 for it, though. You should be able to find it for that or even less now that 2 newer models are out there.
