Sony DHG-HDD500/250 (500 GB/250 GB) 400-Hours DVR
8 of 8 found this helpful This is by far the best DVR/PVR I've Ever had! It smokes DirectTV's DVR and you don't have any reoccurring fees associated it. It is easy to use and has always been reliable. I've owned one for 3 years now and Never had a problem. Sony also provided discrete codes for power and few shortcuts if you are using a programmable remote. I recently moved, I just wish could get Cable or Antenna signals out here in the sticks...
Another review states it will not work after the DTV transition, That is NOT true! http://www.spiffspace.com/forum/index.php This link is to a forum that explains how to update it to get the TV guide info off the DIGITAL HOST CHANNEL.
