Good camera.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a good camera. I had the same model once before, and remembered I liked it. I'm glad I got it. It takes good quality pictures, and has manual settings that I don't want to be without. The only thing really that I don't like about it is there's no manual focus, and that makes it hard to get some night shots (but not impossible), and some other shots too. But it's reasonably fast, and you can adjust the shutter speed from 30 seconds to 1/2000. You can adjust the aperture, but sometimes depending on what you set other things on, it limits your range for that. It takes 4 AA batteries, and doesn't drain them too fast. If you get 8 rechargeable batteries, that's the best way to go. I'm still using the same 4 regular Duracell batteries that I put in it maybe 5 days ago. I've used it for probably 4 hours all together now, and it's still showing almost a full battery gauge.
It's not all I'd want in a camera, but it works and I'm satisfied with it. I think it's a really good camera for the money for sure.

Only good for a spotting scope.
The tripod is shaky. It's really hard to get focused right on a star with the more powerful of the 2 lenses, then when you do bring it in to focus, it's no more magnified than when you look at it without the telescope. I could probably buy a more powerful lense, but it would be impossible to use. The telescope would have to track, and even then it would be impossible to find the star in that lense. The view finder doesn't fit very well, and won't tighten up without popping loose again. The whole setup is unstable. It makes an alright spotting scope, but not a good telescope for astronomy at all. I like the idea for the cell phone holder to put the camera lense over the eyepiece, but it's just a spotting scope. It's not practical for or capable of any astronomy really. I had one kind of like it when I was a kid, and it was the same way. I should've known better than to buy this.

Good camera, good price
It's a good camera. No complaints. It's got probably everything I'll ever need a camera to have and then some. To me it was worth the money.
