Great phone, great brand name
My first experience of Smartphones was an HTC Explorer. A good solid starter model but I soon found that the internal memory was far too small even for the small number of apps I was running. I looked for something better and found it in the HTC Desire X. Much improved internal memory and with the 16gb memory card taken from my previous HTC model I can do just about anything I want with it. Extra apps and widgets no longer a problem. The phone feels good and solid in the hand but lives in a flip case for protection.
Good screen resolution, easy set up and operation are what I had come to be used to with my old HTC and its just the same with this new one. Single front facing camera producing some great shots, the flash that doubles as a torch and the effects during and after taking photos are all great features.
(Video hasn't been experimented with yet though).
Just a couple of down points. The battery life is not good. Even with modest use it wont last more than a day. With Wi-Fi and apps closed down then two days is possible. The second down point is the sound quality. Although with using either earphones or external speakers the BEATS audio volume and quality are great but using the internal speaker the sound is fairly weak compared to say the I-phone... but hey this is a mid-priced Smartphone so why am I complaining !! I didn't pay £500+ for this handset.
Very happy I bought this phone, its not the biggest nor fastest but it does exactly what the specs say and does it simply and easily and at an affordable price. A very good all round performer !!

0 of 1 found this helpful This is a very neat and compact camera that packs a whole lot of features and functions into its small size.Just set it to auto and its a point and shoot,twiddle the buttons and you have a very "grown up" camera.It has a very comfortable and "grippy" feel to it and the image stabilising is just great,very difficult to get a fuzzy picture.The downloadable full manual is long and involved but it needs to be as there are so many functions and options available.Just play around with it for a while pressing buttons and see what happens,its just as easy as reading the book.There is an impressive telephoto range both optical ,and optionally,a digital one.One negative point though,it does take a little getting used to, and that is the delay between pressing the shutter button and the shutter being released.This is I am told something that you get with digital cameras and will get used to it in time.All in all a great camera !!
