Mannix : Season 1 (DVD, 2010, 6-Disc Set, Region 4) LT1

Great Detective series in the fashion of the old gritty pulp novel's that is smart witty sexy action packed way ahead of it's time for a 60's show,
Mike Conners just totally becomes Private Detective Joe Mannix, he has a real swagger and charisma when he walks into a room or when he is in a fight a lot like Sean Connery, Even though in this First Season he works for a intelligence firm "Intertec" he is basically a lone wolf playing by his own rules which leads to plenty of clashes with his Boss, but both know he always gets the job done, this show use to get into a bit of trouble because of it's then use of violence (which is tame by today's standards) but it never gets in the way of the great storylines, This show is created by the same people that did Mission Impossible & Star Trek, so you know it's going to be great quality.

Benny Hill’s first proper Movie.
This is such a fascinating Movie and also a time capsule into another very different innocent time, Directed by James Bond Director Lewis Gilbert staring some of the best of British Actors, But what’s very interesting is a very young Benny Hill who I have to say does have some acting chops (even if he would’ve been a main character Actor, it’s a shame he didn’t do more), The great Ian Carmichael is in charge of this squadron and does great as usual (even Ian is young in this though not as young as Benny although in saying that Tommy Steel is even younger!) this shows the light and a little dark of what it was like as a young man serving for your country and the boredom and unexpected Action that comes with it.
