A great all round camera with an exceptional zoom.
The Olympus SP-570 UZ is a great camera with good (10MP) resolution, a fantastic 20x optical zoom, and a huge range of automatic functions to help in all situations. Better still, it has complete manual override facility so you can still use your own prefered settings whenever you wish.
As you would expect, it features a built in flash but also has a hotshoe flash fitting so that other flashguns, studio flash, etc. can also be used.
It is a relatively compact bridge camera but with sufficient mass - and suitable electronic/mechanical stabilisation - to minimise camera shake.
My only gripe with the camera is the annoying way it removes the image from the viewfinder when the shutter is operated in multiple image mode at high resolution so that, if you are tracking a moving object, you are left to guess the path it will follow with a blank screen in front of you!
Overall, a really great camera.
