1979 Gibson E2 Explorer

These are my FAVORITE guitars of all time.

I have 4 of them I bought from pawn shops for around $200 each back in the 90's - those days are over! Way fun to play but kinda heavy after a while. Toured across the country & in Europe with them. They can take the abuse. I swapped out the PAF's for D' Full Shreds & put Kahler trem bridges on them. Actually found a REAL Gibson bolt on Trem bridge & put it on one of 'em - it looks super cool like old school hardware - looke it up! - but thats just a matter of taste. Anyway, great action, solid feel, super comfy cuz of the scalloped edges. Glad to see these E2's getting the respect they deserve!
