Cheap but not nasty.
Once you have worked out where to put the batteries (and how to remove the case- lift slot at rear), and how to change the magnification (rear set of lenses pivot backwards), they are easy to use and adjust.. (The above took at least 6 minutes:-)
They are reasonably comfortable and easy to use. For the purposes to which I use them - bee queen rearing - they make up for my ageing eyesight and work very well. So for a cheap ( £6.25) product, they are excellent value for money.
Of course, if you want top quality, expect to pay a lot more but they are ideal fro an occasional user like me. If I had to use them daily, I might want to spend more.. but as a cheap magnifier they are highly recommended.

Easy to use- strong (and watertight ) bond.
1 of 1 found this helpful I find this type of plastic is ideal for mending things that are used in conditions of damp and weight bearing. In this case I used it to mend a 210 litre plastic water barrel which had split
at the bottom over winter from the pressure of ice. I cleaned and dried the plastic , roughened the edges and mixed teh plastic by rolling for approx. 6 minutes before applying to the crack. All done in a dry garage at 6C. Next morning replaced the barrel and no leaks.
This is a repetitive repair I have to do every 10 years or so - the barrel collects water from my greenhouse roof and is exposed to ice in the barrel every winter which eventually degrades the repair.
Excellent product.. and inexpensive.

Great for permanent marking of Bee Queens
Great for permanent marking of Bee Queens
Bee Queens are usually marked on their thorax to identify year of birth - and to help find them.
Usual methods tend to wear off over time - a queen can live up to 4 years.
So a permanent easy to use marker helps greatly.
I am replacing each pen I need to identify a year (5 needed) as the years progress: These Toma pens are excellent - easy to use and long lasting.
Highly recommended.
