Best gay themed movie ever

Witty and hilarious wartime adventures with William- a laugh on every page.
This book is a compilation of selected stories written by Richmal Crompton before and during WW2 taken from various "William" books. It is an interesting snapshot of England during this time but more importantly it is a showcase of one of the wittiest and hilarious writers of the 20th century. I still think these books are just as fresh and funny as they undoubtedly were when they were first published 70 years ago. In terms of popularity, William was the Harry Potter of his day and deservedly so. The stories were ostensibly written for older children but she was really writing with her tongue planted firmly in her cheek for an adult audience. A bit like Downton Abbey with kids instead of adults and much much funnier!
