I would recommend the product. Good quality and easy to use
The poacher is manufactured from stainless steel (about 1mm thick) and is fairly robust. I bought it to steam (not poach) fish. The lift-out insert has a platform about 10mm from the bottom of the poacher. Therefore to avoid the fish coming in contact with the water, I had to place the fish on a foil and raise the foil (by placing spacers between the lift-out tray and foil).
The fish was perfectly steamed and the lifting handles did not become very hot.
