I enjoyed watching December Boys. I had tried reading the book, but it was harder to understand it. There is a few top nudity, so it may not be too appropriate for some younger audiences, but overall, it should be viewed. Being adopted was the goals of the orphaned, and in this movie, one can really see the wants of the boys to be adopted. Daniel Radcliffe was good as Maps, who is the oldest of the December Boys. He had resigned himself that he would never be adopted because he was older. He also felt very betrayed when his friend, Lucy, goes back home after the holidays. To Maps, everyone that he likes always leave him or disappoint him. So, Maps maintains his distance. The other characters were very good and the actor who plays Misty, is exceptionally talented. I won't say what happens at the end, but it's worth the "price of admission". Enjoy!
