My Experience!
12 of 12 found this helpful First of all, I was concern there would be a risk to have such a big monitor to be sent internationally all the way to Ibaraki-Japan. NO PROBLEMS!!! In fact, the delivery guy help me bring the huge box into my house!
Unboxing
Well, if you follow the instructions, you should not have an issue. I was able to left and set it up all by myself. The only problem I had was connecting the cables. It is better to connect the cables prior to moving it on your desk.
Special Note
Be sure your download and install the CHG90 driver BEFORE setup! Otherwise your PC may not recognize the monitor, display port, etc.
Also, before booting, Press F2 and go into bios. You do not need to do anything but it helps the process. Regarding booting up, you may get a black screen. Do not freak out. Just reboot a couple of times and it should work.
Experience
So far ....a big WOW! The blacks are really great so movies look super. My background moving wallpaper is beyond words!!!! :-). Probably something to brag about except the only person other than me to see it was my 2 dogs. They did not seem to interested! LOL
Caution note
You need a very beefy computer. Games are fine but I notice multitasking can slow down. I have a overclocked Geforce 1080TI. I cannot imagine going lower for this monitor.
Without Freesync
Since I have a geforce I cannot use freesync. HOWEVER, I see not issues of tearing or response time on my games. I am sure Freesync 2 can help but it is not a requirement for this monitor. That being said, I am not running Gsync either. So far, I have no problems running my apps, games and such on this huge monitor without Freesync/Gsync support!!! :-)
Finally, you will need a big desk!!!
As big as you think it is, for some reason it is EVEN bigger in real life!! It is crazy! :-)
