One of the best fifties dramas where a nice guy falls for the wrong dame.

One of the best films noir. Any guy would fall for the femme fatale, Peggy Cummins, and John Dahl is a sympathetic character. Good directing too; there's an impressive, long uncut shot that ramps up the tension when they're doing a robbery.
