perfect bluetooth
Aim: connect bluetooth headphone to my Windows PC so that I can listen to internet radio. Solution: I buy this dongle, plug it into a USB board (along with 4-5 other USB devices, wrestle with Windows setting, and *somehow* it all comes good. (Note: I had had zero experience in connecting bluetooth on a PC, so I may well have messed up with the initial installation. A PC restart may have been useful, perhaps to allow drivers to update,) Whatever, now my headphones are permanently connected. I can use any one of several radio apps to listen to whatever radio channels or podcasts I desire. It is entirely hassle-free and reliable. (A few experiements along the way suggest that this dongle should work equally well with a phone connection,)

Laptop to multiple monitors with only one HDMI port
My laptop has only one HDMI port, but I need to connect to multiple monitors. It also has only four USB ports, but I have many USB devices. So I get a couple of USB 3.0 hubs (powered, so that I can plug on external hard drives), and use one or more of the free USB hubs to provide vision to extra monitors. Problem: normally, USB ports cannot handle the video. So the VGA-USB connector comes with a small CD disk with software that will install the necessary video driver. a driver. Once this is done, the whole thing works as if it were built for it. Couldn't be better!

Batteries that last until you lose 'em.
I have been using these Eneloop rechargeable batteries for over a decade, and the old ones are mostly still in use. So far as I can tell, over 95% of my 10+ year old batteries are still usable. Do they have a down-side? yes: they are small, and occasionally get lost, usually when I lose whatever gadget they happen to be powering. How dreadful!
