Solved my problem, now out of production, but here’s an alternative
I tried many products costing hundreds of dollars to help my suppress snoring and all failed. And then I tried Theravent. I snore on my exhale, deep in the back of my throat (not in my nostrils). Theravent works because it forces me to exhale through my open mouth, avoiding snoring entirely. My wife says I breath more deeply and regularly as well. I was going to be a dedicated customer of this product for the rest of my life. And then I got bad news.
According to the manufacturer, this product is no longer being manufactured or sold. Luckily after a bit of trial and error I found a replacement at Amazon.com... “Azazar Mouth Tape, 60 pieces”. I realized the key to Theravent was that it inhibited any exhalation through my nose, forcing open mouth breathing. So I started looking at a number of alternatives that would cover my nostrils yet not leave me feeling like I was going to suffocate (e.g., surgical tape with and without SMALL holes punched through the tape for each nostril, other mouth tape solutions, etc.).
The Azazar mouth tape turned out to be a great option. It’s an “X” shape that you are supposed to use to keep your mouth closed and force nasal breathing. I just turned the X sideways and used it to cover my nostrils instead. Voila! I needed to make one modification to allow a tiny bit of air to flow in from my nose to avoid the sensation of suffocating — I use a hole punch to “extend” the indent on the side where the arms of the sideways X meet. Based on how the X fits for you, you will decide where and how big to make the hole. There are other alternatives to the Azazar product that may also work for you, I just mention this one because it is the best of the alternatives that I tried (so far).

didn't work
Purchased two of these adapters for my "MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)" (the model released in the first half of 2017) and neither adapter worked. Total Fail.
