it contains a huge amount of information on a large number of non-stellar objects in the night sky If your looking to identify a object that you don't know about that you see in your telescope or on image you have captured this might be a place to look Keep in mind that is a companion source to go with Uranometria Deep Sky Atlas The Sky Atlas can help you identify a location of some object and the field guide can give a lot of information about the object One of the best whole sky atlases available and this price is a great price for this book. It is rather large and heavy and this may be a real negative to some types of use. Still it is one of the best detailed field guides available and a great reference volume
