Facing the Giants is a MUST SEE! Amazing!
I love this movie. My parents bought a copy for each family member's home, and it has become our favorite movie. The story is a bit "pat" and predictable, but you feel so incredible watching the story unfold that you just can't help but laugh, cry, and FEEL. Perfect for the New Year, especially if you've made resolutions to make awesome, spiritual changes in your life for '08. BUY THIS MOVIE!

You Can Call Him AL!
Kiss My Axe is the best album ever done by Al DiMeola, in my opinion, although it shares it's berth with Elegant Gypsy, another classic by the man named Guitar Player Magazine's Best Guitar Player of the year many, many years running! If you like fusion, funk and fast flying fingers on frets, you will love this. Al is a sorta grimy looking character with slicked back hair and lots of facial stubble, and his New York accent completes the whole New York Italian stereotype, but once you hear him play he becomes a kind of fantasy character. But there is one warning: You really must not mind LOOOOONG sooooongs that seem a bit disjointed at times. But be patient and listen to all of it....his ramblings comes back around to the point and you leave your listening feeling satisfied for sitting through his musical musings.

I LOVE Eva Cassidy!
I had been really looking forward to receiving this CD, and to listening to it for the very first time! When I received it, I tore open the case, threw it into my player, and settled in to play a rousing game of online Gin, when I was sort of disappointed. I was waiting for the Eva Cassidy of Songbird, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, etc., and (not being a huge fan of a blues riff in E) found that it truly IS a Blues oriented album. No offense, but I had a hard time getting through it. TOO SAD. And although Eva is well known for her melancholy, this was not for me. Blues lovers who love Eva will like it, though. Just not my cup o' tea.
