If you only want to remove one screen I think you are better off leaving it to the professionals.

When trying to use the wire it broke, probably needs to be multi strand wire, blade on knife bent and wasn't long enough for my windscreen. Ended up getting it removed by professionals.

This is the second one I have purchased,...

This is the second one I have purchased, they are very good in sliding aluminium windows and easy to install without the need of Tradesmen. They are fairly quiet for a wndow airconditioner, the only fault I have found so far is the drain outlet needs to be a little higher as it is lower than than the window frame so the hose has to be raised to go over it, it still seems to drain ok though.
