Doesn't provide rated power.
The adaptor is advertised as providing 12 watts - using a USB watt meter however, it's more like 2 watts - my phone charges from it at about 400ma @ 5v.
The stock charging brick charges at 1660ma @ 5v. I was wondering why it took several hours to charge a few percentage points of battery, lo and behold, that was the problem.
I suppose it might be able to charge something overnight, maybe my particular phone doesn't play well with it, just be mindful.

Excellent for the price
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the first Android tablet I've bought in seven odd years. The entry level ones have come a long way. Out of the box there was an update waiting to Android 10.
It browses the full web with ease, resolution is fine. The screen could possibly be slightly brighter, but it's plenty bright towards the top of the slider.
Battery is great so far. With my usage, I'm charging every couple of days. The build feels very solid, the metal back is nice for this price range.
Only plays basic games, but I'm not a mobile gamer, so obviously anyone that is will want to look elsewhere anyway.
Camera isn't too shabby for 5MP, surprisingly it can handle close-up focus, but can get grainy fast in low light - but again, at this price, you can't expect miracles.

Dependable, predictable, consistent
There's a plethora of thermal compound on the market nowadays. I've been using AS5 for the best part of a decade, on CPUs, GPUs, chipsets etc, and it's always performed well.
It does indeed have a 'break in' period, but that's nothing to be terribly concerned about. Seems to perform the best with a very, very thin layer (I mean hair-thin!) first spread on the heatsink with on old plastic card, in addition to a small amount on the die/heat spreader of the chip your cooling.
Unlike a few other cheaper compounds, this one separates easily and won't rip things off with it.
It's also extremely easy to clean off, although you will find it sticks to fingers easily and can find its way onto clothing, but common sense should prevail.
If you have an old or new PC, definitely don't cheap-out on the thermal compound, one tube lasts a good while.
