Captivating Story Presenting Both Sides of Complex War
1 of 1 found this helpful Kept our family of six (kids ages 11-5) spell bound on a long road trip. As Southerners, we were pleasantly surprised that the story introduced listeners to both the cruelty of slavery as well as the erosion of state rights. We live in a state currently fighting whether or not Lee's birthday should be recognized. This story did an excellent job of drawing from Lee's letters and speeches to give insight into his character as well as his background before the Civil War. Highly recommend.

Excellent story about Berlin Wall
Excellent story about an often overlooked part of German history: The Berlin Wall and its impact on the innocent people of Berlin. Book itself was in excellent shape and condition.

Entertaining Learning/Review Tool
Fun way for kids to review/learn history, without knowing their "learning"! Early elementary kids can play basic Go Fish rules; upper elementary kids can play a more complex game.
