A nice pump with good improvements.
1 of 1 found this helpful Note, that this review is for the newer model. I ordered specifically to get the old model, but got the new one anyhow. I got my last pump to last for 8 years, which from what I have read, is a pretty full life for these. They have made some good improvements in design since I bought my last one, and they are welcome. The strainer basket design is much easier to open/close without sticking. The grid in the sand is all one piece now as well, so less assembly needed. The 6-way valve is effortless to operate, and the pump is quieter and more powerful. These last may just be my comparison between an old worn-out pump and a new one! Overall, I hope it lasts as long as I plan to keep operating a pool...
