SONY ALPHA A350 14.2MP DSLR BUNDLE w/18-70mm ZOOM LENS, 2BATTS + WIRELESS REMOTE

not bad, with caveats.
Not a bad camera, as long as you know what you need and what you're getting with these older DSLR's. This can take really nice shots in the right setting, works well for taking portfolio shots of art and small sculptures. Takes great shots with low ISO, plenty of light. It's not a great camera for low light, high ISO, or action shots. Takes really poor indoor shots of our pets, who dont sit still and arent lit as well when indoors. The screen is fast even as old as it is, but the resolution and brightness is poor by todays standards. The OVF is OK, but dim. Lots of old A-mount Sony, Minolta, and Sigma lenses available, some for pretty cheap. The kit was a enough to hit the ground running and start shooting right off the bat.

Decent lens but it's a tough spot for competition
I like it. It's kinda funky though, and if you're really serious about getting atop notch zoom around this focal length, this would not be my top recommended, not even in the top 3. Maybe in the top ten? It's the first I've ever had with a spring loaded mf/AF clutch. Takes some getting used to. Most macro lenses do nicely in other roles, but I don't feel this one does that very well. The macro delimiter is nice, the focus throw is long though very loose. Magnification is good, the finish and build is adequate. Hood is screw in only, which is a pain. It's sharp in general, as expected with a macro lens. I would only recommend this over the other 90-105 macro competition is you get a heck of a deal.

Sharp, compact, and budget friendly.
Late MD version doesn't have quite the same all metal beautifully crafted feel and handling as the earlier and faster versions, but it's still good, and compact. Zoom is still smooth. Compared to other similar film era 50's. It's not as fast but it is very sharp, very good wide open even, though benefits from stopping down a little, like most lenses. For how cheap it tends to be it's a great, solid manual focus 50 and worth picking up.
