Battery Grip for Canon EOS 7D + 2X LP-E6 Batteries

Poor Quality

I have used numerous aftermarket grips for 20 years. I have never had any issues until I purchased this grip. I fully charged the batteries (2 came with the grip I purchased), loaded the batteries, and installed the grip to my 7D. I played with the functions for a few minutes, then put my camera back in my bag for the rest of the night. The next morning (about 12 hours later), I went to turn on my camera, and the low battery light was flashing. After trying different batteries that I knew were good, and recharging the two new batteries several times, the same issue kept happening. I even tried putting the batteries in the grip and not attaching the grip to my camera - same issue with the batteries draining within 12 hours. I'm not sure if this is a common issue with this grip, or if I just got a defective product. But, I sent this grip back for a full refund and purchased a Canon OEM grip. They cost more, but the quality cannot be matched.
