    A One-of-a-Kind Musical Experience
I bought this CD after reading an insightful review in The Absolute Sound magazine. I bought on the reviewer's thoughts about the sound quality which is very important to me, especially as I am enlarging my jazz collection at this time. Upon listening, I had that rare thing happen to me that usually takes jazz to accomplish: I began talking to myself; about music, about life, about loss. Even with classical music, I rarely can capture this self-realizing intensity, instead I feel it more emotionally than intellectually. To get an idea as to what this music is all about, you only need to get to a point in time (Halloween 2011). I played this music as background for trick or treaters, it kinda sounds spooky, and awaited thir reactions, if any. I was surprised that the majority had positive comments about the music; no child had a bad word about it. Granted, the music was not composed or performed for this reason, it had more to do with Mr. Dixon's urge to play "art" jazz; the music was composed for dance and that effort is realized in so many ways, you can nearly see the dancers move and sway during each song. Most ebayers won't buy this; it is somewhat fringe. As a production note, I was astounded as to how well-packaged it was along with notes that helped understand the task undertaken. The entire album was very well produced and the sonics are amazing. The better your sound system, the better this album will play.

An actual discussion on becoming an artist
Book begins by saying art can’t be taught; only skills that are used by artists to communicate with their audience. Using that insight has released me from thinking making art is mastering a brush or technique.

Schaller M6 Tuners- Very high quality
Replaced tuners on my Jumbo Froggy Bottom (polished chrome M6 Shallers). Perfect fit for this custom acoustic. Changed ebony buttons for black MOP as it matched the large frog logo of the luthier. The guitar really standouts on stage and is one-of-a-kind.
