3M BRAND Car Headlight Lens Restoration System-Restores cloudy dull lenses 39008

    I got my headlights back
I've kept the paintwork on my 11 year-old Honda Accord Euro in top shape but had no control over the gradual frosting of the plastic face on the headlights and you can't buy replacements, only entire headlights. I tried one suggestion of rubbing the plastic with toothpaste and micro fibre cloth but it didn't work. Then I tried the 3M Restoration kit. It worked a TREAT! The first stage which completely frosts the plastic is scary because I feared I'd never see the headlights again but the third and fourth stages completely restored the lens clarity and my confidence. The only concern I have is the discs on the powerdrill sliding off onto the adjacent masked out paintwork. You need to be VERY careful to control the drill. I would recommend not just masking tape but perhaps something a lot thicker, perhaps some cut out flexible plastic, say from a milk bottle. I ran off the lens in one spot and sanded off a small bit of paint.
