On the money with a plausible story line.
1 of 1 found this helpful This movie is about a film-flam traveling evangelist who is foirced to stop in a rural Kansas town because of equipment breakdown. So he sets up shop, flip-flams the locals, and, in his own way, is redeemed by the faith of one local kid on crutches. Steve Marin is sensationally good. The "tricks of the trade" are revealed. The gospel singers are fantastic. This is one hell of a film, and I've met no one who has seen it who diudn't love it.
