Don't judge this book by its cover
Maybe it's just me, but I thought the cover (and title) was a little funky and at first wasn't interested in reading it. However, since I was at the library, I thought that I'd take a chance. Since I'll be vacationing in Japan, I thought I might learn about some good places to eat.
Wow, it's a good book!! It's very entertaining and informative about the food philosophy and food preparation in Japan. Many things that I did know and have either read about or seen on Japanese TV, were mentioned in the book.
I've actually purchased five copies for gifts to my foodie friends and another for me to keep.
If you're at all interested in the food of Japan, read this book!!
