Pricey but outstanding performance.
This stone is different than the others I have used because it removes much more metal with each stroke. It seems to be not easily worn down and I expect it to last. It gives a very sharp edge as you would expect from a 12,000 grit stone. The case protects it and serves as a base while in use. The size is generous for wide plane blades, etc. The price is high enough to make you need to be a fanatic for sharp objects like I am.

Specialized head for more tone.
Good for situations where you want more tone from the drum. Does not control ring at all. Feels good to the touch. Not for brushes. Best on a heavy wood snare in a small venue.

great sounding "chick"
A very significant upgrade for your snare sound. Larger number of wires and switch to brass rather than steel produces a great sounding "chick" sound I like very much. The black ribbon straps with the Puresound logo look cool and the metal clips add torque to the ends to keep the snares pressed tightly against the resonant head. Product is very well made and not much more expensive than other brands.
