80's Classic Synth music from Alison Moyett & Vince Clark. Good Album
Excellent best of cd, brought back some happy memories from the 80's. Alison Moyett will always have an amazing voice.
Looses a point for the remixes, I prefer the original recordings so I skip them.

Hard to find double CD with The Go-Go's early live recordings. Good Album
Ever since The Go-Go's released Vacation in 1982 I have been a fan of the group and their solo work. This double cd is the better version of their 1994 album, Return To The Valley Of The Go-Go's, there is a single disc edition available which includes many of the tracks on this recording which is worth getting, but this has so much more. The booklet alone has a great collection of candid shots of the Go-Go's from their tours, hotel rooms and publicity material.
If you're going to buy your first Go-Go's album, I would suggest you'd get Go-Go's Greatest from 1990, but if you're a fan of Belinda Carlisle, Jane Weidlin, Charlotte Caffrey, Kathy Valentine and Gina Shock, this cd gives you a collection of live, b-sides and early test recordings of songs like Vacation, Beatnik Beach, Cool Jerk, Head Over Heals and Beneath The Blue Sky.

Mario Party 8: Nintendo Wii
I've always questioned why we need to have board games on consoles and after the awful Monopoly Streets (trust me, I've played it, it stinks!) I was a bit dubious about this since I've only played Mario Party on the DS, which I did like but it did get very repetitive. Mario Party 8 however is a breath of fresh air packed with flawless presentation and tonnes of mini games. While I'd question it's purchase if you're a single player, with four people playing, it becomes a perfect family game with each player fighting to get first place. The game is so easy to pick up and play, even without the instructions and it never talks down to the players as most "family friendly games" tend to do. If you're looking for a party game, this should be your first choice, followed by Samba De Amigo and Mario Power Tennis.
