Pre-warm bath towels
1 of 1 found this helpful We purchased item for home use to warm full size bath towels. Each cavity holds one full size towel, so the model 46L was the only one that would have worked for us. The cavities are designed more for wash cloths or hand towels than for bath size towels. The instructions say that towels should be damp when placed into the warmer, but that makes no sense at all for a bath towel. It doesn't matter, though, because the towels spend 23 hours in the box getting warmed up, so they are toasty warm and crispy dry when we take them out. The first couple of days the towels had a burnt electrical smell which was objectionable, but that disappeared within the week. The box operates very quietly. I cannot hear it switch on and off as it cycles. The UV light glows through the insulation seal in the door, which is normal, I guess, but it does let us know when it is actually operating. The on/off power switch stays on all the time with no variation to indicate if the box is in heating mode. This unit draws 400 watts of power when both compartments are heating, so the wiring needs to be capable of handling that additional load. Overall, we are satisfied with the product and pleased that we bought it.
