Not what I was expecting - which is my own fault!
I was rather hasty in purchasing this book! I let my love of Pretty In Pink, 16 Candles and all things John Hughes inform my decision. I should have done my research. Rather than being an amusing (or even heart wrenching) autobiography by everyone's favourite tortured teenage red head it is in fact a thinly veiled self help book. We are not learning how Molly Ringwald got her pretty back but being advised by Molly Rigwald on how to get our own pretty back.
The book does include some interesting anecdotes but far, far too many tidbits of advice and instructions on living.
One of the reasons so many teenage or tweenage girls fell/fall in love with Molly was/is because they relate to her. This dishing out of advise comes across as maternal or patronising at worst and big sisterly at best.
Sadly I do regret my purchase!

Great pattern easy to follow
I am not a proficient sewer and I was able to follow and use the pattern quite easily. I'm happy with the results
