Upon testing with DriveDx, the 10yr old drive mechanisms still had an overall health of 90%. Speedy despatch and delivery made up for the earlier anomalies, with the very well packaged item arriving the next day. Overall an excellent purchase and a recommended seller.

Sony Handycam® DCR-IP7BT Micro MV Camcorder

I have just discovered that the latest version of iMovie ('08) does indeed allow you to import micro dv video. I simply plugged in my Sony DCR-IP7 and opened iMovie and was able to control the camera and import the video. This was not possible with earlier versions of iMovie.
