    THE BILL - SERIES 13, PART 1 & 2 (12 DVD SET - LIMITED EDITION) NEW!!! SEALED!!!
    04 May 2017
    The Bill
I am collecting 'The Bill' and this takes time as it ran from 1983/84 to 2011. Each box set has around two sets of 12 discs and each year there are two box sets; Hence Series 13, Part 1 & 2 & 3 & 4. Each box set is around $40-$45; so around $80 to $90 for a season. Each disc has around 10 to 12 episodes (except when the episode is 1 hour long thereabouts. Each episode is a great story and very interesting - so many dimensions that are reviewed in the stories, all on police work (in UK in that time period). So for $90 for one season, one gets about 2 x 2 x 12 x 10 = 480 to 528 episodes. A story can be short - 20 minutes also. It's always a surprise package, so you never know what story comes up. Money well spend for thousands of hours of entertainment - and I think once I get to 2011, I can start again at 1983. The characters also are consistent and you grow to learn to like them (or not); that is consistent over many years of episodes. They also bring in new faces every two to three years. I really enjoy watching The Bill, just whenever I want to relax I'll watch 3 or 4 episodes. Try it out an see. PS I also enjoy 'Touch of Frost' 13 seasons with 7 to 12, 1+1/2 to 2 hour episodes each season - quite a different approach to story telling - very detailed and personality based. The Bill and Touch of Frost - great TV Cop Shows.
