Steiner Predator Pro 10x26 Binocular
1 of 2 found this helpful I've used a set of Nikon Travelite binoculars (definite overachievers) for better than 15 years (bought them new) for all my hunting/hiking/traveling needs. They're beginning to show their age so I decided to upgrade to the Steiner Predator Pro - I was sadly disappointed. The optical quality of this set of binoculars was simply poor. The build quality and every other feature was very good, but the uniformity of focus in the field of view was very uneven. To be sure, I compared them carefully with three different (and less expensive) binoculars (my Travelites, a set of Steiner Safari Pros owned by my son and a set of Bushnell compacts). All three were far better than the Predators. Considering the good reputation of Steiner, I expect this particular set is defective in some way, so I sent them back and will look for something else.

Not perfect, but it does work well with the proper conditions.
2 of 2 found this helpful They do a good job of holding the rug if the conditions are appropriate (rug and carpet aren't too thick) and one gets the pins inserted appropriately, which is not always very easy. I broke one of the clear plastic tops while inserting the pin and I broke another plastic top later when stepping on it after it had been inserted. This is probably the best solution for securing a rug over a carpet, but it is not a perfect solution and it may require some trial and error to do it right. The thinner the carpet and rug the better. A qualified "yes" to this rating.
