80's pop at its Best!!
Nick Kamen ...one of the Best Artists of the Eightees!! Too bad the best ones are mostly forgotten ...if you love that lively, romantic Brit pop sound then you CAN'T go wrong here!! Great 80's value at a great price!

Vintage Bond at his Peak
This was Sir Roger Moore's last Bond film. I think that, despite mixed critic reviews, it was overall quite good /with a lot of great stunts, older, mature acting performances and solid action sequences for that stage in time.
Eighties goers may also recall how this was an early star role for Christopher Walken and emerging actor and model Grace Jones! And also, one may note her to be boyfriend /beau Dolph Lundgen in the background of one of the fight scenes (whom she met on the Set of A View to A Kill). The movie also introduced a then-much-younger Tanya Roberts (and her childish cuteness as the newest Bond-girl).
Consistent with this and most of Moore’s other Bond performances, I admit that I definately prefer Moore to the other Bonds (yep even Connery) owing to his pleasantness and funny charm. His age was not a problem at all for me / as I have always thought that his movies got better with his age and that stellar veteran presence (which severely lacks in the Bonds of today).
Whoever said James Bond was a younger man's job? Dead wrong I think.
In terms of the specific PRODUCT / this VERSION on DVD (the one I bought is a 2012 Digitally Re-Mastered MGM release) - the DVD quality is overall pretty decent /significantly better than the 2000 Special Edition series /with today's "frame by frame" digital restoration. Not to mention the new ultra hi-fi sound makes this series well worth the watch.
NOTE: MGM also came out with a later version of this and the other Bond films in 2015 which is more or less the same except for the DVD Artwork I.e. the White Backgrounds and smaller DVD Cover photos. Perhaps, however, the picture quality in the 2015 versions is better ….but I honestly thought the sound effects were no different between the two.

A mature, vibrant sound ...well worth the money
Marking the Band's first, ten year anniversary since their breakout hit Wishin' (I was lucky), the '10' Album clearly identifies the Wets as more of a mature, 'older audienced' band, distinct from their heydays of the eightees flanked by lavish concerts and youthful crowds (the latter nonetheless true on many levels even today!)
Inasmuch, the ten Album is little variation from the Wets' traditional sound, save a more gruffy sounding Marti Pellow and a more retospective (yet still energetic) theme to the songs, accosted by the characteristic rich melodies /pleasant pop tunes i.e typical of 'Strange', 'Lonely Girl', or 'The Only Sounds.' A few tracks are revivals such as 'Beyond the Sea', and 'Maybe I'm in Love' which are flanked by the Wets Big Band and an accompaniment of talented musicians /players. The Wets' version of the Beatles hit 'Yesterday' incidentally was included on the Soundtrack for the British/American Film production 'Bean' (starring Rowan Atkinson) (1997)Significantly, in all of the songs, the use of high pitched keyboard synthesizers, pianos, drums, and percussion that are characteristic of the past hits like Shed a Tear or Sweet Surrender are present here as well in a sense ...
Yet, if one were to assert a distinct musical transition by way of this album, it would clearly be that the Wets have got older /more intellectual and elite (yet still incredibly appealing), versus the colorful, early teenage stars of ten years ago.
