Boils fast but far too heavy to lift

Boils the water very quickly and I like the cream colour. However, it is far too heavy to lift even when empty. The water level gauge is too dark and it is difficult to see the level of water when filling. I am unable to fill this kettle to the maximum amount because of the weight and am considering purchasing an alternative kettle.
