Operating hopper car
The Mantua-Tyco operating hopper is a well built railroad car. If you body mount the KD couplers, put metal wheels on the car it’s a good running model car. The hopper doors on the bottom actually work, I haul black sand in mine. To all the nitpickers true the doors on the bottom don’t look realistic but they do work. Smooth the casting edge off each door they don’t leak. To bad some some modeling company hasn’t bought these cars back out.

Depressed center flat car
It’s a good smooth running depressed flat car, which is good carrying my small camera used for recording. I have a small camera mounted on this car. The six wheel trucks cut down on shaking while being pushed around my layout, especially crossing turnouts.
