A Series You'll Want to Read Over and Over!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the first book in a 6-book series, written for preteens, but enjoyable for adults as well. The story, set in the days of castles and knights, is full of adventure and mystery, but also focuses a lot of attention on the moral development of the teenaged characters as they face difficult challenges and decisions. The author also includes notes that integrate the story with its historical setting. It was a good family read aloud and stimulated much discussion. We read the series to our 4 children when they were young and they all wanted copies when they left home. We have read them again as "empty nesters", and are now buying sets for nieces and nephews.
