I got the first book as a gift - so I had to read it. Honestly? It looks like a 15 year old girl wrote it. Author uses same phrases throughout the book,it gets dull, and at the end of the first book I almost forgot what it was about. The events described are ridiculously unrealistic and too "smooth" in their appearance in the plot. However - I am a journalist and used to read/see something myself to have my own complete opinion,so I bought the rest two books. I am not exactly "holding my breath and cannot stop reading it any moment I can". I read this trilogy mostly because I kind of had to. Anyway - amount of opinions is equivalent to the amount of people who read these books,so it's to your full discretion.Don't rely on anyone's review, read the books and make up your own conclusion. I didn't like these books - only read them because they were so popular and I wanted to see what the whole buzz was about. Got disappointed -but maybe you won't.
